OUR COMPANY & AIMS
Morrison Close Clean Ltd is a family run business which has been providing cleaning services since 2004.
Based in Kirkintilloch, we cover the East Dunbartonshire region and neighbouring areas.
As we enjoy creating cleaner enviroments for communities to live in, this has built trusted and friendly relationships with our clients over many years.
We take great pride in each job we carry out, with the goal of leaving every customer happy with our services.
HEALTH & SAFETY
The health and safety of our customers and employees is of great importance.
Each job is risk assessed to ensure that our work can be carried out safely.
Our staff are insured and trained to operate in a safe manner.
We are very conscious of carrying out work in a COVID safe way, by following Scottish Government and BSI Standards (PD ISO/PAS 45005:2020)
Window Cleaning - We use the water fed pole system for anything above ground level to minimize to risk that using a ladder brings.
Our window cleaners are insured, police checked and licensed.
OUR ENVIROMENTAL POLICY
OUR AIMS:

Minimise waste, especially hazardous waste, and wherever possible recycle materials. We will dispose of all waste through safe and responsible methods.

Avoid the unnecessary use of hazardous materials and processes and take all reasonable steps to prevent damage to either public or ecological health where such materials are in essential use.

Reduce the use of water wherever possible and use environmentally friendly cleaning products when suitable.

Use recycled and recyclable materials where appropriate, choosing products and suppliers with minimise negative environmental impacts.

Coordinate route planning, we will seek to realise the dual benefits of reduced fuel consumption and lower exhaust emissions.

Carry out risk assessments to identify the types and scale of the environmental risks involved.

Buy energy efficient appliances and equipment.

Assess the chemicals we use for their environmental impact through COSHH and environmental assessment and consider our choice of chemicals, materials and cleaning techniques with environmental impact in mind.

Implement our policies through guidelines and training.

Increase awareness of environmental responsibilities among staff.

Endeavour to assess every major new initiative for its environmental costs and benefits.
SPECIFIC ENVIROMENTAL POLICIES BEING CARRIED OUT AT PRESENT:
PLASTIC REDUCTION –
- Biodegradable compostable bags are used to collect waste for disposal.
- Refillable plastic spray bottles are used to reduce plastic consumption.
OTHER –
- No bleach based products are used in cleaning works.
- Waste water is disposed of directly into drains (not roadside).
- We aim to use cleaning products which have recyclable packaging.
TRANSPORT -
- Co-ordinated route planning to minimize fuel consumption and lower exhaust emissions.
- Vehicles will not idle whilst parked.
- To keep journeys to a minimum and regularly service vehicles to maintain their efficiency.
